Automation of Proposals to Register Companies

At MLS we observed that the most popular request law firms receive are requests to register a company. Preparing such a proposal is a very low end tasks but nonetheless takes some time and effort..

Background

When generating a proposal to a client seeking to register a company most of the information needed is sourced from the Client. However, the means via which such is collected, ahead of being able to generate a proposal, involves some back and forth with the client.

Painpoints

  • Time consuming mails or meetings to collect client information

  • A low end task consuming time and effort

  • A slow process that can frustrate clients in need of speed

  • Potential for errors during fact finding ahead of preparing proposal

Solution

We used Afterpattern from Netdocuments to create a Smart App which the Service Provider (law firm) shares with the Client. Client responds to prompts from the App and a proposal is generated and shared with both the Service Provider and Client via VDRPro from SS&C Intralinks.

Automation of a Board Evaluation report for the Company Secretarial Team

Recently received a request to assist with the automation of Board Evaluation reports for a Company Secretarial Team.

Background

On a normal day board evaluation reports were generated by the Company Secretarial Team using a word template that was amended for each Corporate Client. Company Secretarial Team asked if there was a better way of generating and sharing reports.

Solution
